Training Description

This Training is a specialized program designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the design engineering for Oil & Gas, Power, Petrochemical & Fertilizer projects. This hands-on training focuses on essential skills required to manage critical equipment such

• Pump

• Compressors

• Air compression system, air dryer package & nitrogen gas generation

• Chemical dosing system

• Desalination system

• Flare system.

• Turbines

• Boilers

• Fired Heaters

Mission:

• Lead the Equipment Engineering activities in accordance with Project requirements within the assigned budget, time schedule and quality standards.

• Ensure compliance with all Project interfaces and supervise in/out information flow

• Contribute to the capitalization of Project experience to improve and harmonize work

A-Bidding phase/Commercial proposal development

• Review technical tender documentation

• Prepare rotating & package equipment technical documentation for inquiry

• Review and make technical evaluation of machinery bids received by Vendors

B-Project Execution (Job progress and completion)

• Review Contractual technical documentation and requirements

• Defining engineering requirements and interface with other disciplines. Optimize engineering

• Prepare technical documentation for requisitions (e.g. technical supply specification, mechanical data sheets)

• Negotiation with vendors. Review and supervise subcontracted discipline engineering documents

• Prepare technical tabulation and technical evaluation for any type of rotating equipment submitted by Vendors

• After order award: follow-up engineering activities and interface assigned machinery equipment/package included in purchase orders

• Review, mark-up comments and finalize all vendor drawings, interfacing with other process or technical disciplines

• Attend to internal review activities and participate to inter-discipline review meetings

• Participate to and assist technical disciplines to perform engineering activities (e.g. utilities and electrical load list, layouts,3D, routings)

• Provide support for expediting and testing activities

• Knowledge of main international Discipline standards, codes and regulations.

• Understanding process documents as applicable including process descriptions, process data sheets, PFD, P & ID.

• Boilers – (OEM - Thermax, Alfa Laval, BHEL, Thyssen Krupp, Issec John Thompson)

• Familiarization with international codes and standards like API, ASME, ISO

• Familiarization with projects built on to the Shore, off the shore, FPSO

• Shortlisted with major EPC like Saipem, Technip, Petrofac, Samsung, Japan Gas Company, McDermott, Worley Parson, Atkins, CH2NMills, Kellog and Brown (KBR), Flour Daniel, Woods, TR Engineering, China Petroleum, Daewoo, Keppel Engineering, Tebodin, Tough Offshore, CCC (Consolidated Construction Company), NPCC (National Petroleum Construction Company), Engineers India Limited (EIL)

Trainer Profile

NTK Vijay Shankar
 Mr. NTK Vijay Shankar is currently working on the role of Deputy Chief as Machinery and Package Engineer with over all 24+ years of experience across Oil & Gas (Onshore and Offshore), Petrochemical, and Power Plant industries. His expertise spans FEED, EPC,EPCM, Site Assistance with a particular focus on Engineering deliverables related to Machinery and Package discipline activities.
